The third of three movements of Crompton's "Spectrum Suite", "Dreaming" is a glimpse into the flights of fantasy we undertake during contented sleep. Opening contrapuntal salutations between the horns give way to a playful swing groove, featuring Ingrid Laubrock’s adventurous tenor saxophone. Finally, the horns return, reiterating the opening strident melodic motifs to conclude our odyssey.
